The Michael Gilles Purgason Foundation was created in July 2012. It is a charitable organization under the Internal Revenue Service Code 501 (c) (3) and contributions are fully tax deductible. Our goal for the Foundation is to fund higher education initiatives as Michael's great love was education, and he felt it to be one of life's most important goals.

To date the foundation has -

Created and funded several endowed scholarships at major universities.
Funded a medical residency on-call sleep room.
Funded a consultation room at a Texas medical school and teaching hospital.
Donated to educational college missions to third world countries.
Donated to university research.
We will continue to find worthy causes to support.

As Michael's family we will aspire to continue the foundation and always make it a priority in our lives. The foundation gives us comfort in keeping Michael's positive outlook on life alive. We can honor him and his great life through this endeavor.
